After thinking about it for a long while I decided to draw out the pages of my children's book by hand with pencil, then color in Photoshop... I was also inspired by the techniques of
So here it is! The first two pages of my book (notice the little break in the lines in the middle). The right page will have text in the sky.
It's been SO LONG since I colored on the computer. I'm kind of rusty... Kind of really rusty >_> Please critique my coloring and help me out!
I enjoy it because it's fast and easy... I really do prefer working with real mediums though I normally would have used real watercolors but I need to complete this book sooo fast x_x
sounds like you don't have too much of a problem coloring using computer but what about drawing backgrounds, like drawing the scenery or setting only?? do you like to do those? or are you more interested in drawing characters?
I am trying to draw backgrounds more... So I'm still learning. I'm not really proud of my Plush Dragon drawing because I didn't separate the characters from the background very well
And this book was my final project for the fall semester! Fortunately my teacher told me I could finish it over Christmas break. Also, I'm making it for this art show in March called The Great Winter Crow Show, so I need to have a printed copy to give them by February!
